Mrs. Carr-Hicks, I just want to say that I truly admire you for everything you have done. You are a role model to many and I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that I am grateful for the numerous sacrifices you have made in order to make our shows a success. Writing this letter to you as a demonstration of my love and utmost appreciation for you as a person and for what you do for us at Westbury. I am pretty sure that if I am half as devoted and caring to those around me as you are to us, then my life will have achieved its purpose. It is a blessing to have had someone like you in my life.
I have only known Ms. Carr-Hicks for about a year. I have been in this country for about 2 years. Being apart of Ms. Carr performances showed me , how young people can work together as a team, and love one another. I would love to see a performing arts center in Westbury. Mrs Carr is like a second mother to me, to all of us in the community. If it wasn't for her guidance I would probably be in the streets. That is why I think Westbury should have a performing arts center, to help students like me.
I can't wait Ms. Carr!! We are about to change how the whole community looks at us. Now it's our turn to show them that we can actually go somewhere with our talents and with your professional direction. I'm so glad that you decided to have a performing arts school for us.
